A Ruston woman was arrested for aggravated assault after she allegedly possessed a firearm during confrontations with two other individuals.
Ashlei Nicole Barnes, 29, was arrested on May 29 after police received multiple calls of a woman with a firearm on Clinton Circle in southeast Ruston.
Officers heard a disturbance inside an apartment and Barnes and another woman came outside. Barnes told police she had a firearm inside the residence.
The firearm was recovered and two reported victims were interviewed. Both said Barnes had been in the street waving a firearm around due to some type of previous altercation.
Barnes was booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center for two counts of aggravated assault.
