The Lincoln Parish Narcotics Enforcement Team arrested a 36-year-old woman and a 34-year-old male on many drug-related crimes.

After a drugs investigation, Ruston residents Darrius Livingston and Porsche Reed were arrested on June 9 and charged with multiple drug charges and outstanding warrants.

When LPNET members learned that Livingston and Reed were selling drugs at Edward Square Apartments and were wanted on warrants, they went to the apartment complex and discovered the two in a blue Nissan Sentra. As police arrived, Reid was getting out of the car, and Livingston was told to get out of the driver’s seat and taken into custody.

There may have been drugs in the car, and a gun was observed on the driver’s floorboard. A search warrant for the car was obtained, and Livingston and Reed were brought to the LPNET office to be questioned.

A.38 caliber handgun, two plastic baggies of methamphetamine, crack cocaine, MDMA (ecstasy), marijuana, legend drugs, plastic baggies, and two digital scales were found during a search.

Livingston had $790 in cash in amounts that were suitable for the selling of drugs. The contents of the car were not claimed by Livingston or Reed. After being brought to the Lincoln Parish Detention Center, both were arrested. According to a review of his records, Livingston is a convicted felon who is not allowed to own a firearm.
