Thomas Kendrick announces campaign for Circuit Judge, Division 2, 16th Judicial District

Published On:

On March 3, 2026, Thomas Kendrick declares his intention to run for Circuit Judge, Division Two in the 16th Judicial District. Cleburne, Independence, Izard, Fulton, and Stone Counties are all part of the 16th District.

I have defended thousands of clients over my career, ranging from minor traffic infractions to arguing constitutional issues before the Arkansas Supreme Court. I’ve practiced at every level, so I know how our legal system functions and interacts at all levels.

Kendrick started his career with the public defender’s office in Pulaski and Perry counties, and he has more than fifteen years of courtroom experience. He has been with the 16th Judicial District since 2013 and has handled appeals, civil commitments, juvenile cases, and misdemeanor and felony matters. In the district, he has also served as both lead counsel and second chair in a number of jury trials.

Since the clients in my firm have always been regular Arkansans, I am aware of the difficulties that regular people encounter when they interact with the legal system. Drug addiction is still a significant problem in our district since it upends and harms families as well as our community. I’ve had the good fortune to take part in the Independence and Izard/Fulton County Drug Court Programs during my tenure with the district. I have personally witnessed how our drug courts may assist people in ending the cycle of addiction and leading happy, sober lives. As a Circuit Judge, I would fervently advocate for the district’s drug court program to continue because I think it keeps our community safer and helps reunite families by addressing the root causes of drug addiction.

I feel that I am particularly equipped to serve as a Circuit Judge because of my expertise defending regular people at all levels of our legal system. Your vote on March 3 would be greatly appreciated.
