State police release photo of person of interest in double homicide

To go along with a previously published composite sketch of a guy they are looking to identify for interrogation in relation to the double homicide that took place at Devil’s Den State Park on Saturday, July 26, 2025, Arkansas State Police (ASP) investigators have released a fresh image (above).

The desired man is described as a medium-built, white man who was last seen sporting sunglasses, a dark baseball cap, dark jeans, and a long-sleeved shirt with the sleeves pulled up. In addition to wearing fingerless gloves and carrying a black bag, he might have been hurt in the assault.

Witnesses saw him driving away from the scene in a black, four-door vehicle, likely a Mazda, with tape covering the license plate as it headed toward State Highways 170 or 220.

  • Local residents: Check security or game camera footage for any unusual activity or matching vehicle.

The ASP issued a statement thanking the public for their support and encouraging anyone with information, no matter how small, to come forward right away.
