Sheriff Shawn Stephens announces reelection campaign

Published On:

Dear Community Members, Friends, and Neighbors, It is with great pride that I formally declare my intention to run for reelection as your sheriff.

One of the biggest honors of my life has been being your sheriff. I have dedicated the last eight years to upholding the principles of ethics, fairness, and public safety on a daily basis. By working together, we have achieved great progress in lowering crime, improving transparency, bolstering community policing, and fostering confidence between the public and law enforcement. However, we still have work to do.

With your help, I’m running for reelection to carry on the work we’ve begun to make communities safer, provide our deputies with resources and training, and make sure all citizens feel heard, respected, and safe.

The future of our town is my top priority because it is my home. We’ve made great strides, and I’m looking forward to what lies ahead. As we proceed together, I sincerely beg for your vote and your ongoing confidence. You have my word that I will remain a True Working Sheriff!

I appreciate you sticking by me. Let’s continue our efforts to create a strong, safe, and cohesive county for everybody.

With appreciation,Independence County Sheriff Shawn Stephens is running for reelection.
