As a preteen, I was captivated and shocked to learn that something could actually be so amusing when I first watched Monty Python and the Holy Grail. The movie was an invitation into a new, uncharted realm of comedy, both hilariously ridiculous and intellectual enough to make me feel older than I actually was.
When I first saw Monty Python, it was already thirty years old, but everything about it felt brand-new. The classic is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, which is an excellent excuse to see it on the big screen at the Ron Robinson Theater. It will be shown in August along with a dozen other films.
Beer, wine, and concessions will be available on-site, and tickets may be bought here. A complete list of the offers for August:
