Richmond, Louisiana. As part of the April 2024 bond proposal, which allotted more than $1.8 million for the improvements, Ruston Junior High is implementing new security elements on campus in anticipation of the anticipated construction and opening of the Buc-ee’s across the highway.
Triad Builders of Ruston is currently the main construction business on site, while Clark Construction of Little Rock, Arkansas, received the overall contract.
Ken Ogden is putting up the fencing.
Lincoln Parish Superintendent Ricky Durrett stated that the construction is doing well and that it should be finished by the middle of July. By the time we start school, we hope to have completed all of that. Everyone is happy with the way things are going outside; it secures the campus from the incoming Buc-ees and the anticipated spike in traffic while also improving the college’s appearance.
Security at the entrances, a new parking lot, and new fence are among the upgrades.
Ruston Junior High Principal Keisha Douglas expressed her excitement about the new gate and parking lot being finished this summer. These upgrades will significantly improve safety, accessibility, and the general campus experience for our students, professors, and families.
