Merry Ann Bonin, 76, born December 18, 1948, passed away on June 3, 2025. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 6, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, Monroe, LA. Interment will be at Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum. Bro. Gary Sapp will officiate. Visitation will be held Friday, June 6, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. until time of service.
Merry Ann was preceded in death by her parents, George and Louise VanZile; beloved cousins, Pat Anderson and Joe Sutton.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Paul Bonin; children, Brad Bonin (Kelly), Traci Louise Wade (Johnny), and James David Bonin; grandchildren, John Minor Wade, Aaron Anderson Wade, Katherine Campbell Wade and Clara Grace Wade; brothers, Charles VanZile (Tinker) and James Douglas VanZile (Janet); numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Merry Ann graduated from La Tech and earned her Master’s Degree from NLU. She retired as an Elementary Educator from Monroe City Schools. After retiring, she worked at River Oaks School as a Pre-school teacher. Merry Ann loved to cook and spent many hours preparing meals for her family. Her love for her family was enormous. She had a very special love for her four grandchildren. If she knew you, she prayed for you. Her smile was big but her heart was huge. She was grace, she was gentle, she was our love.
Memorials may be made to Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
