Ozark Folk Center fest pairs live bluegrass and fried chicken

This weekend, August 22–23, Ozark Folk Center State Park will host the Bluegrass & Fried Chicken Festival once again, with a buffet of fried chicken, artisan goods, and live music.

The 1,000-seat indoor Ozark Highlands Theater will host a concert on Friday night to kick off the two-day event. There are matinee and evening shows on Saturday.

East Nash Grass, Spillwater Drive, Casey & the Atta Boys, and 5 South are the main acts.

Tickets for the festival include entrance to the Craft Village & Gardens, which is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both days. There, attendees may watch artisan demonstrations, purchase handcrafted goods, take part in more live music, and engage in family-friendly activities.

In between performances, the park’s Skillet Restaurant will serve its well-known fried-chicken buffet. Concert tickets are available separately from buffets.

It is advised to obtain tickets in advance; tickets bought at the theater or gift shop on the day of the event are more expensive.
