On Wednesday, August 20, 2025, Virginia Ruth (McRoberts) Norris, 95, of Grubbs, Arkansas, passed away at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
Virginia, the daughter of Chester and Ruth (Maynard) McRoberts, was born in Delbarton, West Virginia, on June 6, 1930.
Her parents, husband, John Henry Norris, one son, Chester Joe Dismore, two brothers, Charles and Gayle McRoberts, and one granddaughter, Kimberly Dismore, all passed away before her.
Virginia departed from General Filters after more than 40 years of employment. She then liked being a homemaker, spent time with family and friends, and worked in the kitchen at Harrison Moose Lodge #2235.
Virginia is survived by her brother-in-law, Bill Norris of Jonesboro; sisters-in-law, Paulette Norris of Weiner and Mary Norris Holmes of Jonesboro; a half-sister, Lynn Mead of West Virginia; several nieces and nephews; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
Jackson’s Harrisburg Funeral Home will be open for visits on Friday, August 22, 2025, from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.
The graveside service will take place at Walker Cemetery on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.
Walker Cemetery in Weiner, Arkansas, will serve as the last resting place. Jackson’s Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
