Obituary:  Mary Eva (English) Perrin

On Monday, August 11, 2025, Mary Eva (English) Perrin, 93, of Strawberry, Arkansas, passed away. The daughter of Jared Monroe and Hazel Louise (Irwin) English, she was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on May 26, 1932.

In addition to being a homemaker, Mrs. Perrin belonged to the Mt. Harmony Free Will Baptist Church. She liked gardening and quilting, but most of all, she loved raising her kids.

Her husband, Eldon G. Perrin; one son, John Robert Durbin, Sr.; three daughters, Ruth Marshall, Margie Bumpous, and Debra Pico; two brothers, Bill English and Jared English; two sisters, Betty Parsons and Jennie Schofield; a few grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her parents all passed away before Mrs. Perrin.

She is survived by a son, Joe Durbin of Rogers, Arkansas; two daughters, Jerrie Dobrzeniecki of Greers Ferry and Mary Jowers of Park Hill, Oklahoma; a brother, Jim English and wife, Nancy, of Danville, Indiana; three sisters, Anne Ruth Werner of Indianapolis, Indiana; Jerry Lou Wallace of New Port Richie, Florida; and Hazel Riddle of Maplewood, Indiana; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as a lifetime of friends.

On Saturday, August 16, at 10:00 a.m., the family will hold a memorial ceremony at Mt. Harmony Free Will Baptist Church. Stranger’s Home Cemetery will be the final resting place.

Jackson’s Newport Funeral Home made the arrangements.
