Surrounded by her devoted family, Judy Faye Gillihan, 72, of Mountain View, Arkansas, died quietly at White River Medical Center on July 29, 2025. She was born to Troy Bud and Lois (Sullivan) Vannatter on February 17, 1953, in Batesville, Arkansas.
Judy belonged to the Baptist faith and was a Christian. Her grandchildren were the center of her universe, and she loved spending time with them. Judy, who was lovingly referred to as “mom” by everyone, had a kind heart and a nurturing nature.
Cooking for her loved ones, watching Gunsmoke, shopping at Dorcas, fishing, camping, riding four-wheelers, and playing bingo were some of her favorite simple joys in life. Numerous priceless memories are left behind by her warmth and laughter.
Three great-grandchildren, Madelynn, Andrew, and Aubree Ann; four siblings, Renie (Larry) Martin of North Little Rock, Tennie Mullins of Mountain View, Troy (Robin) Vannatter of Mountain View, and Sherry (Steve) Verser of Mountain View; two grandchildren, Payton (Emily) Vannatter and Makenna Vannatter; and her devoted husband of forty-five years, Bill Gillihan, are left to honor her memory.
Judy’s parents, Troy Bud and Lois Vannatter, as well as her five siblings, Randy Vannatter, Doris Jean Vannatter, Shirley Branscum, Sharon Huffines, and R.L. Vannatter, passed away before her.
On Saturday, August 16, 2025, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., there will be a visitation at the Mountain View Funeral Service Chapel. Brother Joseph Blake will preside over a memorial service at 2:00 p.m.
