On Sunday, August 3, 2025, Jimmie Harold Platt, 81, of Southside, Arkansas, passed away in Heber Springs, Arkansas. Harold Platt and Belah Floyd Adams Platt welcomed him into the world on September 28, 1943, in Batesville, Arkansas.
He was a member of the National Guard. Jimmie was a pastor in Jamestown and a truck driver. He was an enthusiastic sports fan and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church was where Jimmie belonged.
His brother Timothy Platt (Ashely) of Heber Springs, Arkansas; his son Timothy Platt of Heber Springs, Arkansas; his daughters Candel Miser (Gary) of Pleasant Plains, Arkansas, and Kim Demaris of Searcy, Arkansas; and his seventeen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren are left to love his memory.
His parents, brother, and sister all passed away before him.
The graveside service with Bro. will take place in the Kyler Cemetery in Southside on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. The referee is Brian Garrett.
Brandon Reeves, Calvin Salter, Dylan Platt, Carter Platt, Derick Miser, and Kaleb Young will all be pallbearers.
James Anderson, Greg Wood, Darin Wood, and Wesley Don Brooks will serve as honorary pallbearers.
