On Sunday, August 17, 2025, Tuckerman resident Danny Ray Hopkins, 77, departed from this life. Earl and Lillie (Wells) Hopkins welcomed him into the world on April 20, 1948, in Newport, Arkansas.
Before going back home to follow his love of farming, Danny proudly served his country in the US Army. He was a dedicated rancher and cattle farmer who put in a lot of effort on the property and took great pride in the life he created there. Beyond farming, he loved being outside. He loved hunting deer and ducks with family and friends, as well as riding horses over fields.
Danny’s greatest dedication was to his wife, Beth, of the home, despite his strength and hard labor. His life revolved around their love and partnership, and they shared many memories and a strong bond that will last long after he is gone.
Danny’s commitment to his family, his unwavering work ethic, and his delight in the simple rural life will all live on in his memory. Those who knew and loved him will carry his memories with them forever.
His parents, brothers Gary, Larry, and Roger Hopkins, sister Madelyne Montgomery, nephew Chris Rousey, and niece Mindy Howard all passed away before him.
His sister, Sheila Haskett of Arkadelphia, his wife, Beth, of the house, and a large number of nieces and nephews survive him.
Swifton Cemetery will have a graveside service on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at 2:00 p.m.
The Dillinger Funeral Home Chapel will be open for visits on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
