Obituary:  Betty Dixon

Betty Dixon, 83, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, departed this life Friday, July 18, 2025, at St. Bernard’s Hospital in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

Betty was born May 5, 1942, in Tangi, Louisiana, the daughter Alva Joseph and Katherine (Leatherwood) Lemoine.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lee Roy and one son: Charles Dixon, and one brother, James Lemoine.

Betty worked in several factories, and as a caregiver, her last job was working with a special needs child in school. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, doing Genealogy and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by two daughters, Debra Mink of Harrisburg, and Jamie Dixon of Fayetteville, Arkansas, one son, Lee Roy (Heather) Dixon of Jonesboro, Arkansas, one brother, Charles Lemoine of Pleasanton, California, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Monday, July 21, 2025, at Jackson’s Funeral Home Chapel from 10:00 until service time. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 A.M. with Spencer Furby, Minister, conducting the service. Interment will be in Harrisburg Memorial Park.

Arrangements are by Jackson’s Funeral Home.
