Ninth fugitive arrested in New Orleans from OPSO Inmate Escape

The Louisiana State Police provided this.

To find and apprehend the fugitives who broke out of the Orleans Parish Correctional Facility on May 16, 2025, law enforcement authorities are still coordinating closely.

Antoine Massey, 33, was found and taken into custody at a New Orleans home this evening by detectives from the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations New Orleans Field Office, the Department of Homeland Security, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the United States Marshals Service, and the New Orleans Police Department.

Massey is going to be taken to a safe state prison outside of the region. There might be more fees in the future.

Massey was imprisoned for Domestic Abuse Battery Involving Strangulation, Motor Vehicle Theft, and a Parole Violation when the escape occurred.

To find the lone fugitive, law enforcement officers from several local, state, and federal agencies will keep up their round-the-clock efforts.
