When a wanted man was apprehended on the front porch of a Ruston home after being observed by drug agents, more drugs were discovered on him.
When Abrian Bryant, 39, of Grambling, was discovered on the front porch of a home on Lewis Street in Ruston on June 12, he was taken into custody on narcotics warrants and other drug-related charges.
When two officers from the Lincoln Parish Narcotics Enforcement Team detained Bryant, they discovered a prescription bottle in his shorts pocket along with a sizable sum of cash. Several tablets that were later determined to be 51 units of alprazolam were found within the bottle. Two varieties of hydrocodone and seven oxycodone were discovered in another bottle.
The arrest took place outside a church in a drug-free area.
At the Lincoln Parish Detention Center, Bryant was charged with possession of oxycodone with intent to distribute, possession of hydrocodone (10 mg) with intent to distribute, possession of hydrocodone (7.5 mg) with intent to distribute, possession of alprazolam with intent to distribute, violation of the law prohibiting the distribution of controlled substances, and arrest warrants accusing him of illegally distributing MDMA (ecstasy).
A law enforcement organization has made this material available to the public. Until proven guilty in a court of law, people named or depicted in photos or videos as suspects in a criminal investigation, or who are detained and accused of a crime, are deemed innocent.
