A guy was arrested for a number of charges, including battery of a police officer, after he grabbed a female hotel employee in Ruston, believing her to be his sister.

On June 14, Kenneth Lamont Anderson, 41, of Ruston, was taken into custody at the Best Western hotel after he allegedly assaulted a Ruston police officer in the face and refused to leave the establishment.

After an employee reported that a man staying at the hotel had grabbed her by the arm and was cursing her in the hallway, RPD was summoned to the Best Western.

According to investigators, Anderson’s partner acknowledged that he had seized a lady he believed to be his sister.

Anderson refused to leave the hotel when the police ordered him and his girlfriend to do so. Additionally, he declined to provide officers with his identification.

According to the police, Anderson had been drinking and was experiencing balance issues.

Anderson hit an officer in the side of his face when the officer seized his wrist to arrest him.

While the first cop held Anderson with his Taser drawn, another officer placed Anderson in handcuffs.

Anderson was arrested for disturbing the peace, resisting an officer, and battery of a police officer at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center.
