For just the third time in program history, Louisiana Tech softball will host a conference championship tournament, as the 2027 Conference USA Tournament will be held at Dr. Billy Bundrick Field in Ruston May 11-15, 2027.

“I couldn’t be more excited to host the 2027 CUSA Softball Tournament,” said Tech head softball coach

Josh Taylor

. “The Ruston community and Louisiana Tech is first class and will no doubt provide a first-class experience for the participating teams as well as the fans. This community and University embrace college softball, and that will certainly be reflective of how we will host this wonderful event.”

This will mark the second time the Bulldogs have hosted the CUSA tournament, having previously hosted the event in 2023. LA Tech hosted the Western Athletic Conference tournament in 2013. That tournament was played at the original Lady Techsters Softball Complex which was destroyed by an EF3 tornado on April 25, 2019.

LA Tech has posted a 70-37 record at Dr. Billy Bundrick Field since the stadium was reconstructed and opened in 2021.

The Bulldogs have captured three conference tournament titles in its program history, including the 2008 Western Athletic Conference (Honolulu, Hawaii), the 2017 Conference USA (Hattiesburg, Miss.) and the 2019 Conference USA (Birmingham, Ala.).
