Where will the next Flaming Hot Pot & Korean BBQ business open in West Little Rock?
We reported in May 2024 that Flaming Hot Pot was opening in the former Denny at 310 S. Shackleford Road. You may recall it.
It appears that the chain is either developing a second restaurant at the empty Red Lobster at 8407 W. Markham St. or has found another location for a future one in West Little Rock.
This past weekend, a reader alerted us to a sign on the old Red Lobster that promoted the restaurant’s Korean BBQ and all-you-can-eat hotpot.
The coming soon portion of the company’s website now lists the former Red Lobster and Denny’s locations, along with upcoming eateries in Nashville, Tennessee, and Shreveport, Louisiana. However, is it feasible for the corporation to open two interactive hot pot restaurants within a two-mile radius of one another?
There have been no updates since October, when a construction team began work on the Little Rock Flaming Hot Pot restaurant in the former Denny’s building, according to a Facebook page.
In an inaugural post last week, the Facebook page for Flaming Hot Pot & Korean BBQ-AR described the restaurant as the ultimate all-you-can-eat experience, offering a range of fresh meats, seafood, vegetables, noodles, and more, along with sizzling hot pot and sizzling Korean BBQ!
According to the post, cook it the way you like, at your table, and savor a tasty meal with loved ones.
The concept sounds very similar to KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot, a franchise that allows customers the interactive experience of cooking their own thinly sliced meats and veggies on tabletop grills and in pots of simmering stock. KPOT opened locations in Fort Smith and Rogers this year, as well as a Jonesboro location in 2023 and a North Little Rock location on Warden Road last year.
To find out more about Flaming Hot Pot & Korean BBQ’s intentions, we’re attempting to get in touch with a representative. We’ll keep you informed.
