After police looked into a recent domestic disturbance, a man from Ruston was taken into custody.
After Ruston police arrived at a home on Kavanaugh Road in response to a domestic disturbance reported by an uninvolved individual, 34-year-old Kedric Robinson was taken into custody on June 20. The caller claimed that the victim was being beaten by the suspect at the moment.
Robinson was discovered by responding officers yelling at two other individuals outside. Robinson’s clothing was blood-stained and torn. He was placed under arrest while officers spoke with a woman who was visibly upset. According to the woman, Robinson became very aggressive when intoxicated. She claimed that he became so enraged that he shattered other things in the house and ruined her TV. Then, she claimed, he repeatedly struck her in the head. The woman claimed that although she managed to escape, Robinson took hold of her hair and pulled her around the house.
The woman claimed that after Robinson was stopped by her younger brother, they got into a fight. As witnesses, the brother and his spouse were questioned. Two 4-year-old children were present in the house when the incident occurred, according to the police.
The woman received assistance from the Ruston Ambulance Service when they arrived on the site. Police were informed by EMTs that the woman had a big bump on her head. Because she had been dragged on the ground, officers also noticed dirt stains on the back of her clothes.
Other than being outnumbered, Robinson refused to explain what had happened to the cops. He was arrested for domestic violence, battery with child endangerment, and disturbing the peace after being brought to the Lincoln Parish Detention Center.
