Cave City resident John Buddy Eldridge, 65, died in Searcy on August 8, 2025. John C. and Georgetta (Henry) Eldridge welcomed him into the world on November 23, 1959, in Flint, Michigan.
He was a Methodist Church member, a retired over-the-road truck driver, and a student at UACCB Community College in Batesville.
He loved creating park benches and porch swings out of wood, spending time with his grandchildren, and listening to vintage country music while relaxing on the back porch.
His parents and sister, Lavon Bibi Eldridge of Des Arc, all away before him.
Along with a plethora of other family members and friends, survivors include his 25-year wife, Penny Eldridge of the house; son, Kevin Engles of Batesville; brothers, Jimmy and Gary Eldridge, both of Des Arc; four granddaughters, and one great-grandchild.
Qualls Funeral Homes made the arrangements.
