Oklahoma ed secretary/Harding grad under investigation for porn on office TV

While concealing their tawdry sides, some of the most puritanical members of the Republican Party nonetheless pretend to be morally superior. Ryan Walters, a 2010 graduate of Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas, where students are still expected to lead chaste and moral lives, appears to be the most recent example.

Walters, the now-blowhard secretary of education for Oklahoma, spends his time and energy placing Bibles in classrooms and creating litmus tests to find woke teachers.

Walters may also enjoy staring at nude women at work, according to recent press stories.

This is a good piece from Oklahoma Voice, a pay-wall-free States Newsroom publication similar to Arkansas Advocate in our state.

The main idea is that during a meeting in Walters’ office, two Oklahoma Board of Education members noticed nude women on a television screen. Walters refuted the charge, calling it an attack with political motivations.

Oklahoma state lawmakers are now looking into the matter.

Walters is not the only Republican man from Arkansas who has recently been in trouble for producing or merely viewing porn. Recall how Arkansas Republicans’ favorite school choice cheerleader, Corey DeAngelis, a U of A alumnus, was exposed as a gay porn actor going by the stage name Seth Rose last year? After being assured he was just doing a fitness DVD, DeAngelis has subsequently claimed he was duped into filming him masturbating with other men.
