Christopher Floyd Green, 47, of Locust Grove, Arkansas, passed away on July 4th, 2025. He was born July 12th, 1977, to Floyd David and Edna Kaye (Watson) Green in Fordyce, Arkansas.
Chris was a Baptist by faith. He earned an Associate of Applied Science degree in radiologic technology at Southeast Arkansas College in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. He was employed by White River Medical Center in Batesville, Arkansas, where he worked in the cath lab. He was a member of Mill Creek Masonic Lodge No 178 in Rison, Arkansas, where he served as past Worshipful Master. He was also a member of the Saharah Shrine in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, where he was a member of the Clown Patrol. He loved entertaining people and making them smile. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Chris had a passion for cooking and loved feeding family and friends. He was a talented musician, playing guitar and fiddle. He was also a talented artist.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Joe and Erma Watson of Kingsland, Arkansas, and Floyd and Willie Green of Rison, Arkansas.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Tammy (Herrington) Green of Locust Grove, two sons, Caleb Green (Emily) of Maumelle, Arkansas, and John David Green of Locust Grove. He is also survived by his parents, sister Wendy Lloyd (Rex) of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, brother Casey Green of Rison, Arkansas, nieces, and nephews.
A visitation will be held Monday, July 21st, 2025, from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm, at the Mountain View Funeral Service Chapel. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 pm, with Brother Willis Findley officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Melrose Volunteer Fire Department for diver training, 35001 AR 14, Marcella, AR 72555.
Honorary Pallbearers are the White River Medical Center Cath Lab Staff.
