The honors keep piling up for a pair of Lincoln Parish softball stars.
Choudrant’s Zoey Smith and Simsboro’s Carlei Wheeler were both named to the Louisiana Sports Writers Association Class B all-state team.
Wheeler’s Tiger teammate Jacoya Lewis earned honorable mention all-state honors.
Smith, a graduating senior for Choudrant, was named the District 2B MVP after guiding the Aggies to the league crown and a berth in the Class B playoffs. She earned all-state honors after hitting .526 with eight home runs and six stolen bases.
The Aggies posted a 15-14 record this season, before falling to Holden in the second round of the Class B playoffs.
Wheeler, an LSU-Eunice signee, was a four-time first team all-District 1B honoree and capped her stellar prep career by earning the all-state accolades.
She batted .483 with two home runs, six triples and 12 doubles in 2025 while recording 122 strikeouts in 70 innings of work in the circle for the Lady Tigers.
Lewis, who also earned first team all-District 1B honors, hit .462 at the plate with 37 runs batted in, six home runs — the most by a Lady Tiger in 2025 — along with eight doubles and three triples.
Quitman’s Cali Deal earned the MVP honors on the all-state team while Stanley High School coach Josh Foshee was named Coach of the Year.
Louisiana Tech commit Maggie Guyotte (Quitman HS) also earned all-state honors.
