With the impending approval of the NCAA landmark case, and the evolving landscape of college athletics, Louisiana Tech Athletics is announcing an expansion of its philanthropic initiatives and new fan and donor engagement programs.

As such, the Louisiana Tech Championship Resources division, the fundraising arm of LA Tech Athletics, is repositioning to better prepare for the modern college athletics enterprise and to make it easier to be a fan, donor, business partner and student-athlete.

As shared previously, all gifts, restricted or unrestricted, will now count toward your annual membership levels. Previously, only LTAC directed gifts counted toward member level benefits. Membership levels are now based on points, as outlined below, as opposed to strictly the dollar amount donated. The structure of the Championship Resources division and the opportunities to give have also been adjusted slightly to help make this clearer to those wishing to donate. When considering a gift, these are the main areas to direct funds:

LTAC | Unrestricted Giving

  • Includes the LTAC General Fund and helps provide financial support where ever critical shortfalls occur. These funds can be used to fund scholarships, capital project needs, host events and support operations related to our fundraising mission.

LTAC | Restricted Giving

  • Includes specific accounts that you are passionate about including endowments, AD Discretionary Fund, La Tech Innovation Fund and all sport-specific accounts.

Aillet Society | Pledge Program

  • The Aillet Society is for those donors who are passionate about living in tomorrow by pledging their gifts over a 5 year term. Aillet Society membership starts at $5,000 per year and is critical to allowing Louisiana Tech Athletics to look forward and prepare for what lies ahead.

T-Club | Athletic Alumni Association

  • The Louisiana Tech T-Club is an athletic alumni group committed to the overall well-being of current and former La Tech student-athletes.

The last update to the annual membership program is the release of the LTAC Priority Points program. A description of the points programs are listed below, but feel free to click the link below to visit the LTAC Priority Points page.

LTAC Priority Points

There are two points programs that are live now in donor accounts online. They are:

The LTAC Lifetime Priority Points

2 points per $100 for Lifetime Giving

5 points per Consecutive Year of Giving

The LTAC Annual Membership Priority Points

  • Annual Member Level points are used for distribution of parking and other annual benefits associated with giving. Annual Member Level points expire at the end of each drive year. The membership level that you are assigned on July 1 of each year is active for the next 12 months and is based on giving from the previous year before June 30. Points are earned at:

5 points per $100 for Unrestricted Giving

2 points per $100 for Restricted Giving

5 points per $100 spent on Season Tickets.

The CHAMP Fund

In addition, Louisiana Tech athletics is launching the

CHAMP Fund

, a groundbreaking new revenue-sharing initiative designed to directly support Louisiana Tech Athletics through NIL and marketing opportunities for Tech student-athletes.

  • Gifts to the CHAMP Fund can be directed to a specific sport or allocated towards a general fund that benefits all LA Tech student-athletes. When making your gift, simply add the specific sport or general fund in the comments box. For example, gifts can be made to the CHAMP Fund in support of the Bulldog football program revenue share initiatives which will directly support LA Tech football student-athletes.
  • These gifts will earn priority points through the LTAC membership priority points program described above.
  • Gifts given to the to the CHAMP Fund will be tax deductible.
  • The CHAMP fund ensures Louisiana Tech can remain competitive and adaptive in a rapidly changing collegiate environment.
